Circus Skills in Schools

Welcome to a truly unique opportunity for your school.

You are about to find out how you can have an Official Guinness World Record Breaking Juggler visit your school and engage your students and staff.

Chris Marley’s many years of entertaining experience have taken him across the UK and beyond performing for audiences small and large at cabarets, private parties, hotels and on board cruise ships. But now, for a limited number of dates, he is turning his attention back to the younger generation and giving your school the chance to host a fun day of circus skills workshops and shows run by Chris himself.

Chris believes in inspiring a generation of children to

  • achieve things they didn’t necessarily think they were capable of
  • have school experiences and successes that are not traditionally academic
  • embrace creativity in a school environment

During the circus sessions, pupils have the opportunity to combine both mental and physical learning. Chris’s school workshops are structured to ensure that the children get to sample a variety of circus skills.

Group activities, elements of drama and teamwork tasks are also incorporated, as well as some time for creative free play to give a truly balanced workshop with something for everyone.

Even the quietest of children can become self-confident with a diabolo in their hand!

Circus skills include some or all of diabolo, juggling, plate spinning, devil stick, rolla bolla, pedal-gos, feather balancing and more. Needless to say we provide all the equipment, you just provide the hall.

For your added peace of mind, Chris has Public Liability Insurance and an Enhanced DBS check.

We have compiled a range of options to suit different time scales and budgets of even the smallest schools.

The workshops are flexible, meaning that you can tailor them to your exact requirements. Some schools choose to devote a 2 hour session to one class, whilst others give a taster of as little as 30 minutes per group.

We have found that sessions of around 50 minutes in groups of 20 children provides a good balance between having the time to try several circus skills and enabling a larger number of children to experience the workshops.

I’m just emailing to say what a great job Chris did yesterday. The children were really engaged and had a great learning experience.” – Woodhouse School

Some schools opt for a special package which includes both a workshop and a show. This means that pupils get to see a professional performance as part of their circus day. Chris can perform this show to the whole school in an assembly, meaning that every child gets to see a world class act in action. We assure you that this will provide a truly memorable experience for all the children involved.

This experience is for you if

  • You are looking to engage your students on a non-academic level
  • You want a professional approach to your day
  • You want a fun and memorable, yet structured and productive experience
  • You want an experience that has both physical and mental elements
  • You want activities open to everyone, irrespective of gender, age, race or academic ability
